The above video breaks a quad mesh into two sets of perpendicular strips (warp/weft) as a decomposition method, where the controlling factor is the scalar field of color distributed in the mesh. The coloring can be controlled by a variety of parameters, in this example it was concerned with establishing continuity. The software used in this exercise is Rhino with Grasshopper.
